So, is it not warm enough for you guys to be out 'occupying" yet?

What's abortion and gay marriage got to do with taxes and spending?

Yes, cut defense spending.

Yes, don't bail out corporations.

No, don't vote for Obama.

Actually that would be Denmark who spends the most. Ironically, they were ranked the happiest country in the world three years in a row. The problem with the funding is too much goes to administration and all the superintendents and whatnot when when it should really should go to the curriculum.

What do abortion and gay marriages have to do with too much government? One word - "hypocrisy." Obama made the corporations pay all the bailouts back with interest. You are proving the point that Thomas Frank made in his book What's the Matter With Kansas? The typical American votes with one's pocketbook rather than one's conscience.

And pensions.

Well apparently, it's never too hot or cold to "occupy" the Middle East as long as there are hawks in Washington. Now if you're referring to the OWS movement, I hope it does gain momentum when things start warming up this spring. It looks like the tea baggers are running out of places to hide.

Tell me what's wrong with pensions. They give those to military veterans and to retired police officers, firefighters, and athletes. Tell me why teachers don't deserve them when they have one of the most important jobs on this planet in my mind. Teaching children how to read, write, and do math is crucial towards their development, so explain to me why teachers shouldn't rewarded for their hard work especially when too many parents these days are so self-absorbed and disinterested in their children's educations that they expect the schools to raise their kids for them. Tell me again what's wrong with pensions.

Hide? Perhaps you can find them at their place of employment.

You may be a philosopher, but my question wasn't about too much "government". It was about taxes and spending - you exchanged my words and put in your own.

Many Americans do vote with their conscience, regardless of what Thomas Frank says. And no, I'm not going to waste my time reading his book.

I vote with my conscience.
I'm against abortion.
And I'm against gay marriage - just like Obama.

Oh, you mean Halliburton and Lockheed Martin or FOX News? Sorry, I have no use for any of those. FOX NEWS stands for Frightful Old Xenophiles Naughtily Endearing Wall Street. Just so you know many of them do have jobs. Anne Hathaway and many others work for a living. A lot of them are unemployed because their jobs they once had were outsourced all because some greedy CEO's wanted to earn more profits and pay workers a fraction of what they were worth even if they ran sweatshops overseas with small children earning only 25 cents an hour.
