I agree! There are too many people on Wall Street reaping all the benefits. Trickle down economics have been proven ineffective and only beneficial towards the rich that want a plutocracy where everything is done by them. You aren't kidding. We depend on the "less fortunate" to spend all their tax dollars so CEO's can get more handouts.

I love how so many gripe about government being too big, but they're the first to try to outlaw abortion and ban gay marriages. In addition, these are the same folks moaning about Obama cutting down on defense spending when he's actually doing away with pork-barrel spending.

Exactly. The USA throws far more money at education than any other country in the world and the results are worse schools. Very much like the way our government is throwing money at poverty and poverty just gets worse and worse a problem.
After a while you begin to realize that money really isn't everything, throwing money at a problem doesn't automatically fix it.

Well apparently, it's never too hot or cold to "occupy" the Middle East as long as there are hawks in Washington. Now if you're referring to the OWS movement, I hope it does gain momentum when things start warming up this spring. It looks like the tea baggers are running out of places to hide.
Tell me what's wrong with pensions. They give those to military veterans and to retired police officers, firefighters, and athletes. Tell me why teachers don't deserve them when they have one of the most important jobs on this planet in my mind. Teaching children how to read, write, and do math is crucial towards their development, so explain to me why teachers shouldn't rewarded for their hard work especially when too many parents these days are so self-absorbed and disinterested in their children's educations that they expect the schools to raise their kids for them. Many Americans do vote with their conscience, regardless of what Thomas Frank says. And no, I'm not going to waste my time reading his book.

Oh, you mean Halliburton and Lockheed Martin or FOX News? Sorry, I have no use for any of those. FOX NEWS stands for Frightful Old Xenophiles Naughtily Endearing Wall Street. Just so you know many of them do have jobs. Anne Hathaway and many others work for a living. A lot of them are unemployed because their jobs they once had were outsourced all because some greedy CEO's wanted to earn more profits and pay workers a fraction of what they were worth even if they ran sweatshops overseas with small children earning only 25 cents an hour.
