Its certainly not Bush's fault that Obama has increased the debt by a few trillion dollars.

OP. It's the American desire to get more for less (or for free) that drives progress. We demand things to be faster, stronger, more efficient, more features, get better results and all for less and less cost.

Here's where I call BS. First you said that spending was cut. When I pointed out that it wasn't, you change the metric to class size. But that trendline has clearly been on the decline, from about 17.5 in 1992 to about 15.7 in 2007. See the link that I previously posted.

Where are you going to shift the debate now? At some point you will have to stand behind your assertions instead of shifting to a new assertion.

He doesn't complain about anything. He gets things done. He even said on Election night when he gave his acceptance speech that he may not be able to do it all in one year or even one term, but they will get it down.

Yes, you know this is all very interesting and it may be true which I don't doubt it is. However, there's one thing you failed to mention. That's standardized testing. They're doing this in Texas. All they're doing is teaching kids how to test rather than teaching the actual curriculum. They can't even teach evolution in public schools now. This is only one counterargument you've come up with that holds any water. What about the rest of them like the economy, infrastructure, health care, and the rest?

Something else dawned on me while I was at the gym doing my workout. I can't believe I didn't mention this earlier. When people were talking about government waste, I should've mentioned the drug war. They're squandering hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on fighting drugs and overcrowding our prisons with first-time non-violent drug offenders when it should really be dangerous criminals like the the murderers, arsonists, rapists, and pedophiles in the state penitentiary.

In fact, it was Reagan who authorized them letting out sex offenders earlier so they'd have more room in prison for the non-violent drug offenders. The drug war is a lost cause like Prohibition. That's why I say they should legalize them all, regulate them, and tax the daylights out of them. They should do the same with prostitution. All that revenue they make in addition to all those other billions they waste could probably pay off our national debt in a year or two. I'm cool with that. The DEA is one of the most corrupt government agencies out there.
