I am 62 years of age, and have lived with spinal curvature (idiopathic scoliosis) for 53 of those years. I have held a full-time job for all but about two of those years, plus a sideline business.

But my most stable employment ended in the mid-1990's; since then, I've been limited to the no-major-medical policies peddled to the blue-collar market. And I know that, as a mature male, the only plan Obama and Co. have for me is to force me into the Medicaid ghetto. I'll be better off under traditional Medicare, if the Democrats' redistribution scheme doesn't loot and strip it.
How exactly does this redistribution scheme affect you? And why do you feel that Medicare would serve you better than Medicaid? And why should you be served better while the government disregards the costs in doing so?

What's funny is, the notion of exceptionalism requires communities in America to work together, for a common positive goal. I see very little of that these days.

No American cares that healthcare is in a crisis, until they have to take care of an injured family member, and sticker shock of the cost at the Emergency Room visit actually registers.

Its the Ostrich Syndrome at work. It is painful to watch these folks not only buy into the lip service that is "fiscal conservatism", they actually consider self to be it.

That doesn't matter to a justice. It is their job to uphold the law of the land not make it. That is the job of the legislators. Maybe you and ginsberg need to take a government class.

This "justice system" figured out that money is speech. Does that mean bribery is legal now? I mean, a cop accepting "speech" is, well, doing his job?

The justices ruled that corporations as well as individuals should be protected under the first amendment along with unions. You may not agree. Many don't. Many do. They didn't write the first amendment they made their ruling based on the first amendment.

It's obvious that the people behind "Obamacare" are far more interested in peddling simple, bur not-too-expensive-procedures to impressionable suburban tweps, cleaning up after the indiscretions of illegal immigrnts, hard-core unemployables, and union bozos, than in allowing mature presumably-conservative adults more choices in safeguarding the health that wise lifestyle choices have often helped them in attaining.

The "wisdom" of the original titile not withstanding; It is your free choice and your right to seek something only for yourself and the people you choose to belong to, and not to see the fruits of your own labor tossed to the hogs at the public trough.
