Report Shows California ‘Meter Maids’ Making Nearly $100,000 a Year Plus Benefits, Retirement | Unions, Debt Crisis | TheBlaze.com

Gee, I wonder why states like California are having money problems.....

You can say, its only about $1 million, but it adds up folks. Many of you are against cuts, your against curbing union benefits paid by tax payers....it all adds up. This is abuse and I think its safe to say, its not the only abuse going on in California and across the country.

If some of these guys are making this much doing an idiots job, how much are police and fireman getting? Most enlisted personnel in the military dont make this much and most of them dont get the deal union teachers and the like get.

I'm here and the Democrat wet dream here is F'd in the head.

They mistake taxpayer money for monopoly money, then the turd politicians disappear when someone has to answer for all the bribes and stupidity.

I would be seriously shocked if there are not quite a few parking enforcement people now making over $100K. There are lots of cops now making $100K for writing speeding ticket. Pound for pound parking enforcement officers bring in more revenue, so they should have the clout.

I don't live in California and what they pay their municipal employees is their business, not mine.

I'm not gonna join the chorus of people that cry just because someone is getting a better deal than they get. Go be a meter maid and make YOUR 100k. Or...get your own union together and work to get your wages raised instead of choosing to get screwed.

I'm guessing there are union members in every state, in every position, in every industry who have hit the jackpot when it comes to this sort of thing.

I'm suspicious of the wages. The Blaze is not known for its integrity. The wages probably include the cost of medical coverage, vacation days, FMLA days, holidays, sick days, etc...

Those are some smart people. Low stress job, outside enjoying the fresh air.
Work 30 years and get..what 70% in pension ?
Sure, I'd do that for $70K pension and then move to a low cost state and live quite happily for the rest of my days.

It's true. My family, unfortunately not my specific branch, immigrated from Italy and made their fortune in collecting other peoples trash. There is always big money in dirty work.
