Maybe it's justifiable, maybe it's not, but 72K is nowhere near 100K, like you suggested.

What's with all the class warfare? I thought you conservatives wanted everyone to be successful?

Wanting "everyone" to be something is a decidedly Marxist value.

I see, so you don't want these people to be successful?

Gee, I wonder why states like California are having money problems.....

You can say, its only about $1 million, but it adds up folks. Many of you are against cuts, your against curbing union benefits paid by tax payers....it all adds up. This is abuse and I think its safe to say, its not the only abuse going on in California and across the country.

If some of these guys are making this much doing an idiots job, how much are police and fireman getting? Most enlisted personnel in the military dont make this much and most of them dont get the deal union teachers and the like get.
A total salary and compensation package like that seems excessive but if Hermosa Beach is okay with that, then that's on them.

As for police and fire department personnel, they likely get paid/compensated just a lot better (but again, that's on Hermosa Beach). And if there is any upset that enlisted personnel in the military don't make as much, then maybe we should pay them more.

[if we can afford multi-million dollar warplanes, that's the least we can do]

Come on...you mean spending 1.5 million dollars on a single Stryker vehicle isn't a good thing?

Did you look at that chart ?

If 90% of the people are making the high end of the salary range, I think it's a safe assumption here to list that as the salary.
Average Meter Maid Salary in San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, CA - Annual - Hourly Salary Most Current Data

This chart? That's the 90th percentile you're referring to. Only the top 10 percent make above $73,000. The median is about $53,000 and half of all meter maids in San Jose have salaries in the range of $41,000-$53,000.

Success is up to the individual, but I want them subject to the same economic forces as the productive class whom pays their wage.

They are. Do you think they exist in some alternate dimension?

Yes it's called government and we are forced to purchase their product no matter the quality or need.
