I agree. I doubt we're talking about straight wages.

Besides, if meter maids have to give out tickets to people, that's not an easy job. You take a sh*tload of abuse and anger from people, and you're on your feet all day. Who am i to cast aspersions on what they earn?

If someone is making minimum wage, which is around $18,000 a year, and the person has insurance which costs $15,000, 3 weeks vacation, 3 weeks sick pay, 14 paid holidays, it's dishonest to suggest that person is making close to $38,000.

Gee, I wonder why states like California are having money problems.....

You can say, its only about $1 million, but it adds up folks. Many of you are against cuts, your against curbing union benefits paid by tax payers....it all adds up. This is abuse and I think its safe to say, its not the only abuse going on in California and across the country.

If some of these guys are making this much doing an idiots job, how much are police and fireman getting? Most enlisted personnel in the military dont make this much and most of them dont get the deal union teachers and the like get.
And if you've ever tried to get one to stop writing the ticket (even when there's still time on the meter) they'll ignore you, or treat you like dirt. Cali is the pinnacle of liberal BS and a system gone out of control.

During my thirty years as a contractor in LA, some of the wealthiest people I did work for were firemen. One Torrance cop was building a $6M home in PVE. He and his wife built a small empire of rentals during the RE bubble.

Never been treated like dirt. That might be a personal problem. Get that checked out.

And it also shows that 90% of those are making that $73K.
Did you look at that chart ?

If 90% of the people are making the high end of the salary range, I think it's a safe assumption here to list that as the salary.
