I don't know if there is any evidence to support your claim but I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.
Atheists are intelligent and questioning enough to challenge the conventional religious orthodoxy that is presented to us, so it makes sense that we would also challenge the societal power structures embedded in Republican orthodoxy as well.
It is also understandable that atheists lean Democrat, since we tend to support (and are attentive to) issues surrounding the separation of Church and State.
Not as long as you people continue to try and force your primitive religious beliefs on us...

I want to decrease the national debt, by taxing consumption, ending the wars on "terror", drugs, prostitution, gambling, pulling troops out of Germany, Japan, the Philippines, etc. How come you people never mention those MASSIVE wastes of government money?
I think Occupy Wall Street is idiotic and I hate the 99% movement. Those people don't speak for me...I have a job and I work in the stock market. If they had their way, I'd be out of the job...so no, I don't like those people.

Obama has improved the economy significantly...it's a GLOBAL financial crisis, not a local one. He has no control over the situations in China, Europe and the rest of the world.
That being said, if Gary Johnson were elected, the economy would improve far more than Romney and Ryan and their desire to raise taxes on the middle class while cutting them for the uber-wealthy.

Atheist are a group only in the sense that they can be categorized, i.e., those who do not believe in the existence of god or believe in theism.
