Was Hank Williams Jr EVER relevant? Did anyone EVER care about what he thought about anything?? Seriously, look up the word "irrelevant" - you'll find a pic of HW, Jr...
If you don't know any more about some of the Dixie Chicks, you better give a listen to Lloyd Maines and my all time favorite, Terry Allen.
The only real problem they had was she should have consulted her group before speaking. They all felt the same way, just better to keep it to themselves. The role models some had would have made that impossible, thank goodness.
Hank Jr. wasn't immensely popular until he began singing his own songs with his own style. If you can't recognize the distinct difference between Hank Jr and Hank Sr.'s style, then you don't know country and western music.
Hank Jr. may have rode some "coattails" when he was very young, but no one can deny his success on his own merit, as the poster I answered stated.
You have got the wrong idea of what I said. I stand by my right as a country & western fan long before it was not cool! I urge you to go back and listen to his music and how he progressed on the entertainment circuit. His actions ( some hype and promo ) always was connected to his Father's lifestyle..... Nether you or I can say for sure how Hank Jr. would have progressed as a stand a lone entertainer. For the sake of importance and reflection I refer you to the Video/song " tear in my beer" where old footage was blended in with Hank Sr and current Hank Jr. I found that to be a great pc. of editing.
No, they were silenced.
They weren't played on the radio any more.
You hold someone doing the same thing to a president you don't like as a hero.
You don't see the hypocrisy, do you?

I guess in right wing nut world you can't go against what your "fans" think. So I guess if a Lillith Fair artist were to rip a conservitive president it would be ok in right wing nut world.........
But you said he didn't ride on his father's coat tails.
He would have remained unknown if not for his father.
How do you think he got his break? Name recognition.
A very good point that I also made, but from another angle.( sort off )
As I've always said: the hatred of Obama on the right has more to do with cultural, religious, and social issues than fiscal or economic matters.
