Your progressive mindset cannot think reasonably.

OK Libs, let's deal. I'll support a ban on high capacity magazines if you will support a ban on abortion. Fair enough? We will save a lot of innocent lives on at least one of those bans.

Hopefully the action will be swift. Before the issue is replaced in the news by some other story and this story ignored.

When the "law" is illegal, of course responsible citizens will ignore it. If we have politicians who are opposing the rights given to us in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, then the politicians are traitors and tyrants who need to be opposed/removed.

Retaining weapons, which is our right, IS the responsible thing to do.

Do you really think that the feds are going to have hundreds of thousands of "Ruby Ridge" incidents all around the nation, in which honest, law abiding citizens are being killed by the government over thier right to posess weapons? There would be an insurrection. Very few, if any, police or military personnel would perform such duties, as they are gun owners themselves and come from the same demographic. They would be more likely to turn their guns on the government.

They were legally owned by his mother, who didn't properly secure them to keep them out of the hands of her son who had mental issues since before tenth grade, and was autistic.

Nope, only a fraction of crimes are committed with HC magazines, so You only get a fraction of abortions made illegal.

You give up HC mags, and I'll give up third trimester abortion.

Keep your guns in the face of a change in law is NOT responsible (And come off it-- No one is coming after your reasonable hunting rifle or the handgun you want for self-protection). It is responsible to obey the law-- even when comes to guns. Even if you're you're an anti-government loon.

You can't be both responsible and advocate breaking the law. Care to explain the dissonance?
The Constitution is the law. You ready to obey? Gun control sounds an awful lot like infringement.

"... the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The Constitution as interpreted by the Courts is what you mean, right? Gun control sounds an awful lot like LEGAL according to the Courts.

Yes, because progressive policies such as universal health care coverage, civil rights and nonproliferation of nuclear weapons clearly led to Lanza's mental illness, and his mother's recklessness with allowing her son access to firearms.

I wonder what the bat**** crazy that you ascribe to, and is pedaled by right wing media will lead to?
