30 cartridge magazines is the term I have been using. If I mis-posted, apologies.
it happens, no problem. by the way, limiting magazines to 10 rounds means nothing. semi autos can be reloaded in a matter of a couple of seconds, and there is always the option of carrying several guns, all fully loaded and ready to rock. ten guns, six rounds each is sixty rounds to do damage with.

True. But I'd rather have someone have to carry three guns and reload twice to do the same damage as one with 30 rounds in the magazine.
I defer to your expertise that some crossover exists. I never claimed expertise but have shot a wide variety of weapons. Issues like bullet crossover can be addressed too. But I think we can take several steps to achieve a whole policy.
There's a news story about a guy who sold a gun to the drug cartel in Mexico which was found at the scene of a murder of a customs agent. It says he got 57 months. Is there a reason a conviction like this can't be a life sentence? To me, this is like a doctor selling opioids to a street dealer. The penalty should be just as harsh as it can get. I really don't think trade in guns with murderous cartels should be treated so lightly. Would it be that light if he was selling explosives to Muslim terrorist groups? I think it sends a message to the border police "your life isn't really all that important".

A good point. Perhaps mandatory ten year terms would serve as a deterrent, or get the dealers off the streets for longer stretches.

three guns, ten rounds per gun, i dont have to reload any of the guns to do the same damage, actually more damage, as one gun with thirty rounds. same with five guns, six rounds for each gun. again i dont have to reload.
