That completely explains why we were successful in a matter of days in the war in Afghanistan, since we were fighting against people with small arms hiding in caves... oh wait.

So you go ahead, you keep up the bigoted comments and you keep insinuating that 50 - 60 million gun owners in the US are nothing more than a bunch of hicks that shouldn't be feared. The people who actually make decisions that really matter know better than to make that mistake.
Since rebels would be dispersed through the civilian population, if the fedGov were to choose to carpet bomb America to get rid of the resistance, they would pick up our dear friend Ray as collateral damage

U.S. forces at their peak barely exceeded 100k in Afghanistan. It was below 40k most years.

The full might of the U.S. military would be too much for ANY nation to handle, much less a group of traitors within American borders.

LOL, like the type of people that own guns in the United States are similar to the hardened Mujahideen fighters utilizing their superior local knowledge and contacts. After just one night spent under seige in a cave most gun owners in the United States would be crying for their mommies.

Please explain how you could possibly equate defending the constitution with being a traitor? Is that more ******* math?

Yes you're right, all 50 million gun owners in this country might not be proficient with their weapons given a war situation... but how many would it take?

You don't understand humans very well. Depending on the reason for the conflict, many from the military would join the citizens.

And citizens have done quite well in Afghanistan and even defeated the two most powerful armies in the world there.

An internal fight wouldn't follow the rule book. Desperate people do desperate things.

Like I said earlier, if you believe the US Gov. would bomb it's own people on US soil you're insane. Even if the orders were given it would never happen, the people in the US Military took an oath just like I did years ago to protect the US Constitution and if the current regime decided that they didn't want to follow that constitution any more they would become tyrants and the target of many in the military.

Is it really hard to understand? If you take up arms against the United States government, you are a traitor to the United States. Your fantasy that you would be seen as some kind of noble hero defending the Constitution is just that - a fantasy. You would be simultaneously hunted by not only the US military, but also every Fed and State law enforcement agency and you would also have to look out for other American gun owners that would not hesitate to kill any scumbag traitors they could find.

Don't you have it backwards? The traitors would be the government. Those who would defend themselves against a tyrannical government are heroes, not traitors.

And if "the U.S. military would be too much for ANY nation to handle" why did we get our azzes kicked in Viet Nam and Afghanistan?
