If people are so upset with Cosby, imagine what Malcomn X would be saying if he were alive today?
Again, forget that Cosby's comments were directed at blacks....I think that they should just be stated as universal, regardless of race that in order for your children to prosper they need to get an education, have their parents involved and so forth.
I just wish Mr. Cosby had made his speech universal instead of aimed at blacks, it's not about race it's about self respect and reaching your potential and taking care of your responsibilities.
Had he done this, people would be less defensive since the truth hurts just so much.
The problem is too many people have taken certain Cosby statements and run with them, the ones regarding poor blacks. I agree with him in regards to ending cycles of negativity. But I never hear these same people shout about how Cosby said he was sick of the entitlement mentality among rich and poor people.
Please, please think critically and stop whining. You won't fix anything if you don't acknowledge the issues and fix them.
Thats the probelm, black have realized the probelm along time ago so what Cosby said was nothing new but the things that he did not say was widely ignored by the media and most whites that really pissed off black people. I think that it is interesting that many whites are very interested in solving black issues except when it comes to racism and then the room is quiet.

If it's not about color than why are the cons so obsessed with Obama's white side? And why was Herman Cain, and his supporters, so obsessed with the color of his skin?

Pal, I treat people the way I want to be treated, always have. If you look at all the money spent for decades on social programs, has it really helped? Yes we have a small minority middle class (great!) but the larger majority of Blacks simply don't exercise initiative and do better not working because staying on the dole is the way to go. Why work when you can get almost as much by staying on public assistance? Why limit the number of kids you have when the state pays to birth them? Give them WIC, food stamps, section 8, etc.? Many of my friends limit the number of kids they have because of the cost, but somehow that does not matter to the near 75% of illegitimate kids borne today.
Do me a favor, do a simple poll. Ask any black family you know if their Mom or Dad were on welfare? I bet at least 50% of the time they were.
We no longer have the public purse to pay for this kind of behavior. I say allow those who have lost jobs or suffered a massive $ loss to have four years of welfare. After that, no more. Otherwise it gets too comfortable.
Middly class people bring stabilty, order, public decorum and pride into neighborhoods. Getto people do not.

I dare you to ask bill collectors and appointed (not the elected ones) government/non-government officials about your tax paying money and what they do with it, if you keep asking them like their life depended on it (such as a judicial trial where they have to tell the truth) and by fact they due then you will get the answer to that, but you don't know what they do with 'your' tax money and what they appoint all that money toward. So therefore until you recognize that even you are not even on a stable economic pattern that is set for you and your family, unless you are a CEO or on a board of a company, that the government needs. By the way look into where all the abortion clinics are at in America, and get back at me
