The only thing -- he was 15 years old, it wasn't too late yet to turn him around --- but liberals no longer care about trying to save these kinds of kids.
The future for these kids has these 3 options: prison, death, a job - including a military job. Obama is promising many millions of foreigners coming here illegally the good jobs -- he and no one else is trying to get jobs to Americans who really need them.
Liberals will pretend they care, but all they want is more NAFTA, more export of good American jobs and unlimited immigration of cheap labor. Even the Job Corps program is facing cuts -- no one, certainly not the liberals care. Military is being cut also.

Well, the lesson IS a more permanent lesson than others, but it is a lesson. The 17 year old has learned from the lesson.

Obama is doing absolutely nothing to help troubled American youth. NADA. He's promising wonderful futures to anyone who gets here illegally -- but is turning a deaf ear to the needs of at risk Americans. Kids like this can only be turned around if they are prepared for some kind of job. But Obama plans to give more jobs to those pouring over the borders illegally. There is not much future left for kids like this. Without jobs they face prison or death.
