Then that's not Marriage Equality whatsoever. What part of the US Constitution says homosexuals can't get married? Better yet, what part of the US Constitution says only a part of the American society can get married?
That's like saying you can have a child though you can't have a son, but you can have a child.
How does that make sense?
There is nothing in the Constitution about marriage. That is why the state needs to get out of the marriage business all together. You lefties want them all in though.

I sometimes hear people say that the US is becoming more conservative. The reality is that it's becoming more open and accepting. The noise we hear now is just the last dying cries of the defeated. My marriage doesn't need protection from anyone other than me and my husband. If we don't do what we need to do to stay happily married, no march nor protest is going to help.
