What will you do? My life won't actually change, but there seems to be so much "crazy" opposition that I'm wondering what will you do.

Will you move to a different state? Different country? Campaign against gay marriage even more? Home-school your kids? Become Amish?

Do tell...
I will applaud.

Sad that all the politicians out there claiming they no longer support it despite signing it....couldn't just repeal the law.

Nothing; life will go on exactly as it did before.

The law doesn't impact me, personally. So, what will I do? I will continue to live my life the day after any decision to strike-down DOMA as I did the day before.

That's what liberals always say at the suggesstion of any type of tax break. Except when it's a tax break for gay folks.
I will be extremely happy & proud of this country for once. I'll be happy for my gay friends.

I suspect some people will have severe mental breakdowns because of it.

I expect you'll lose your Social Security benefits because of it. Congratulations.

A contract for marriage is a right - for those who have rights.
A license to contract marriage is a privilege - for those who have no rights.
A common law marriage does not require government permission.
A licensed marriage requires government permission (aka "civil right").
A "civil right" is a liberty granted by government to those who have no natural nor personal liberty to do that which requires permission (license).
And the original reason for a marriage was to join the property of the spouses for the benefit of progeny. If there are no progeny, there's no reason for the joining. . . except that special benefits (bribes) are offered to married couples under national socialism.

It's hardly a 'break' when it merely eliminates sexual orientation as a qualifier for where one falls on the tax tables.

If this was really about equality then it would be about getting everyone the same benefits regardless of marital status.
Which is why every two single people, gay or not, will get the piece of paper that gives them those benefits. The system will collapse.
