The point is that not paid by tax-payer, but by the royal family, and in that sense it is charity, as it is entirlly up to them to pay for it or not. It is what it is. You can call it tax if you want.

... That didn't prove they're funded by the taxpayer. I'm not saying they aren't, because I don't know, but you didn't give any facts that show they are funded by the taxpayer.

The only thing that was proven was that the government provides it, which you two already agreed upon.
