... That didn't prove they're funded by the taxpayer. I'm not saying they aren't, because I don't know, but you didn't give any facts that show they are funded by the taxpayer.

"Powerful government" carries very little meaning, actually. A government is deemed too powerful only when it goes against your own whims. For example a monarchy is not leftist, but it dances to the whims of one person, and is exactly what right wing is about: Trust in hierarchy. That is the direction Fascism and Nazism took. Also note selling of "Christian values" by Nazis as a propaganda. Do you need help on that front too?
