Most will attest that they don't vote Democrat solely for emotional reasons. That it's not solely because of perceived benefit. But that there is actual tangible benefit

What is your best case for how the Democratic party has supported blacks with their policy and not just their rhetoric?

If anything through systems of dependency, through pushing of abortion, through pushing of blaxploitation in Hollywood, and the "lax moral values" described once by WEB DuBois, it's destroyed the black family and the black community

They haven't.

And in just in case most will agree that they haven't, can anyone play devil's advocate

In other words, are there actually even any attempts to name actual areas where the Democratic Party has specifically implemented policy that has improved the overall lives of the black community?

Democrats don't give a chit about Black folks. Hell, Democrats don't give a chit about anyone.
Republicans don't give a chit about White folks. Hell, Republicans don't give a chit about anyone.

In conclusion, Democrats and Republicans don't give a chit about anyone but themselves. Of course, the Blue and Red kool-aid drinkers still don't comprehend this. Pages and pages of Blue and Red kool-aid threads can be found at City-Data.

This is a perfect example of what we were talking about on another thread. What starts off as a seemingly reasonable topic worthy of intelligent discussion turns out to be anything but. In this case the predetermined conclusion isn't even thinly veiled as the disjointed final two paragraphs demonstrate.

Republicans can be on trial for another day. If blacks were voting for them the last 40 years I'd ask the same thing.

Of course at least Republicans really are the "lesser of two evils" if there actually was one for blacks

Because even though they don't care about the average person either, at least the more conservative values that on the surface they support are more beneficial

The anti-abortion, anti "free love" stance, and the stance of being against the dependency bubble would be far less damaging

But in the end yes, let's be clear both parties hurt the overall American public. But Democrats hurt blacks a quite bit more

There is no one on the Earth that doesn't have a point of view. I'm not like the propaganda machine the media which pretends it is objective and wants to hear all sides when it forces one point of view down our throat-- The corporate point of view. Or the system of morals by those who own it while mocking any opposition

Now you say Democrats are lesser of two evils. But how do you come to that conclusion?

What policies are in place that benefit blacks more? Or hurt blacks a little less?

How does the dependency bubble, abortion, Hollywood blaxploitation hurt blacks less?

What incentive have Republicans given Blacks to vote for them in the last 40 years?
