Canada should be like a US State, and USA should be like a Canadian province, yet still different nations.
The countries are very different, in many ways, so why would either side want to become one? This doesn't mean we are not friends, we can't get along and we can't support each other. There are reasons why the countries are separate. If you are not a felon, or have any police record, it is very easy to go back and forth from one country to the other. Let's let it be, just the way it is..

Canada has 35 million people receiving services. According to their own bean
counters they need 60 million to keep things solvent. They don't have enough
Canadians even with immigration. Tax rates will rise and if they had the
option, they would split
.
I'm sorry, but that post doesn't make a lick of sense. We're not prisoners here.
Furthermore, where would we split TO? The quality of life here is very, very good. We'd go someplace worse? Why?

There is no good reason to support the current border checkpoints. Literally none.
Spelling changes

Most differences are probably not visible at first glance, but in the various systems...

What about currency? Can one pay with Canadian dollars in Michigan or with US dollars in Ontario?

I agree with you that the border is the longest and most peaceful border in the world but so I have to ask why you want to repeal it! I do even know how you can repeal a border lol but on a more serious note:

It's time to also be able to move and work freely between those two nations without any need to obtain citizenship and green card just like EU nations. I believe the USA started to tighten the border with Canada in the last 10 years because they felt that the Canadian government does not take the threat of terrorism as seriously as the US government (the Canadians will disagree). At the same time, Canadians are probably shocked at the tolerance of illegal aliens by the American government. Until these problems are resolved I do not think any border progress can really be achieved.

Canada should be like a US State, and USA should be like a Canadian province, yet still different nations. I am not sure but how a country can be like a state or a province???

They take US dollars here. Americans think our colourful plastic money isn't real.

The Canadian provinces would be like the US states, although most provinces are a lot bigger than US states...

Absolutely. All other countries that don't want every man, woman and child armed to the teeth are clearly suffering under crushing tyranny.

When will gun nuts grow up and stop perverting "liberty" as a good thing, turning it into something that's only of interest to religious nutjobs and gun fetisists?

Indeed, freedom of expression and many other things we have come to take for granted are a lot much more important than guns, especially in cities, where most people live...
