Conversely, why do you doubt Zimmerman's account and that Trayvon did not initiate the fight? Is it because you are skeptical of Hispanic/white people and Trayvon was black? Are you sure that you're not assigning a stereotype to Hispanic men? Why do you assume that Zimmerman started the physical encounter?
While only two people know for sure who started the fight, we do know who the agressor/escalator was leading up to the confrontation. Who was the profiler? Who followed in his car? Who got out and followed on foot? Who did all of this while armed... in the dark... against someone they suspected was on drugs?

You do realize that Trayvon Martin made it home but that he wanted to go look for the "creepy assed cracker" to teach him a lesson, right? The Prosecution's star witness said that he had told her over the cell phone that he had made it home.
"I asked him where he at, and he told me he at the back of his daddy fiancee house."
In other words, Trayvon could have entered the house. Instead he went out looking for Zimmerman. Why would he do that? What do you think could have been on his mind? Don't you find it amazing that all of the damage from the fight was on Zimmerman and not Trayvon? If Zimmerman's intent were to start a fight (or to kill a guy, as some would argue) then why did he call the police? If Trayvon was afraid, why didn't he call the police?
You really have to bend over backwards to infer that Zimmerman initiated the physical part of the confrontation.

Zimmerman got out of his car looking for Martin after he made his vulgar remarks to police. The police clearly told him "we don't need you to do that" The job of a watchman is to do just that, watch and leave the police work to law enforcement.
He was clearly looking for a fight and when Martin was kicking his ass in self defense, Zimmerman killed him.
Not Guilty != Innocent... Hell, OJ was found not guilty.
Okay, THE MAN WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY ~~~~> MOVE ON!
