If Trayvon was so damned pure and innocent as an angel, he coulda called 911 instead of Rachel for advice. Even then he didn't heed her admonition of 'Run, Trayvon, run!'.
He CHOSE to stay and pick a fight.
Conclusion: He did have some reason to not call 911. He was opening a can of whoopass on someone by surprise, and lost.
He had no obligation to run. Why does the black man have to cower and flee from a white racist? He had a right under SYG to kill Zimmerman. It is a shame that he was not armed and was not able to do that.
I was really impressed with Zimmerman's brother and the comments he made after Obama made his speech being concerned only with one race of young boys. I am expecting that maybe one or both of the Zimmerman brothers to run for office and probably win. We need people like them in office.

And you're correct, TM had a right to kill Zimmerman. But while trying to that, he lost. He was armed. He had his fists, and the concrete.
But in the fight to save their own life, one guy won, the other didn't. Get over it.
SYG had nothing to do with it, the self defense statute did.
