Where does THEIR responsibility come into play here ?
You just want to hand them more money and then walk away feeling all good about yourself.

So lets figure out why people are lazy enough to not educate themselves to the point where they deserve a better paying job instead of artificially inflating their wage for the same work. Does any of the fault lie in the arms of the worker for not proving he/she is worth more money? I think it does. You obviously don't feel that way.

A person is only worth what they can prove they deserve.
K-12 pushes them through the system.
They are handed everything and even promoted when they fail.
This is what you get for not holding students accountable in K-12.
This is what you get when the Fed threatens to withhold money from schools if kids fail.
So schools bend over backwards to make sure "No Child is Left Behind" so they can get their money each year.

NCLB has been in place for 10 years.
Each graduating class of students are worse off then the class before them.
Barely reading at 8th grade level and can't do math and have no recollection of what they learned because "rote learning" is bad (memorizing stuff).

It's the reason why in NJ we pay such high taxes cuz of people like urban ideology and thoughts. Do you need someone to hold your hand when you **** and **** too? Lol

The reduction of blue collar jobs over the years for those that are coming out of high school, people have to work somewhere.

You do realize costs go up regardless if you raise the minimum wage or not. If you lower minimum wage, costs aren't magically going to go down. This is basically the myth that gets recycled over and over by the anti-minimum wage crowd.

I was reading over another article on this ( SeaTac’s minimum wage workers might not get their raise after all ), and found this gem:

Why the heck is that guy making MORE children when he already has 4 kids that he apparently is struggling to support? Why are these guys blowing a ton of coin on smoking if they don't make enough to live on?

THAT'S the real problem here - lack of personal responsibility and accountability. It's always someone else's fault that these people are losers.
I don't know, why do people advocate against birth controls and condoms? It is better to look at the overall numbers and figure out a minimum wage that would best help those at the bottom and then allow each one to make their own choices in life.

Sorry they don't have what it takes to move beyond that.
But that's their problem, not mine.
And? None of these are good reasons for not raising the minimum wage.

Yes, and there are conservatives that wish to get rid of the federal minimum wage.

Who's handing people more money? If they are working, then they would be earning this money.
