It's convenient though, for couples wanting to enter into a property and visitation rights contract to not have to write it themselves, but, rather, just go to the county courthouse together to sign a few forms instead.

I guess you don't get the agenda of gays pushing their agenda.. it is for the acceptance of sodomy which is a part of the " gay marriage agenda' Making sodomy mainstream .. bisexuality, then trisexuality.. and anything goes behavior , men having sex with children..all in the name of freedom and normalcy. Gay marriage is the first step.
Marriage is a right citizens of every state enjoy. If a state is going to deny some people rights that all other people enjoy, the burden of proof falls on the state to prove why that group should be excluded. And, the state has to have a good LEGAL argument for denying what exists as a universal right. Saying, "It's tradition" is not a legal argument. Saying, "God hates it" is not a legal argument. The fact is, there is no legal argument against gay marriage that makes any sense.
Let's just call this out for what it is: religious prejudice. 99.9% of the people who object to gay marriage are religiously motivated. When religious people conspire to prevent people from entered into civil marriages--i.e. secular marriages--for religious reason, they are crossing the line. If some fire-breathing Baptists church doesn't want to perform gay marriages, so be it. But they have no right to tell the secular government what it may or may not allowed based on their religious beliefs.

1) Allow gay AND straight people to get married?
2) Only allow straight people to get married?
If gay people were PUSHING AN AGENDA there'd be a third option:
3) Only allow gay people to get married.
But since there is no call for #3, we conclude the only ones working against freedom and acting to exclude populations from enjoying the full rights and privileges of citizenship are people like you.
