Sorry that you and Fox News are outraged but no one else appears to be. Lowes had a giant pallet stacked with cases of 60 watts incandescent bulbs and there was no desperate rush to grab them. There are so many better options than incandescent bulbs such as LED, CFL, and halogen. Lowes probably had 50 different types of LEDs to choose from. People wanting to continue using incandescent bulbs just have their head in a hole and don't understand how lousy incandescent bulbs really are. Only 5 percent of the energy creates light and the other 95 creates heat.

Whether that's true or not its none of yours or the green nazis business to dictate what I should buy.

Exactly, leave it to a hand full of cons to freak out in favor of a energy wasteful product...maybe they like to use their lamps as a primary heat source or something.

Because we don't let you use poorly designed products...how's that Ford Pinto working out for you, I am sure you were outraged with Ford recalled that car just because it may or may not explode on impact.
The phase-out of 40w and 60w incandescent bulbs begins on Jan 1. I'm wondering how long they'll continue to be on the shelves at the big Box home improvement stores. I want to personally thank the green nazis and their supporters for taking more money out of my wallet---you low life pieces of @#$%.
How would more money be taken out of your wallet when CFL and LED lights are far cheaper to run and last a lot longer than the inefficient incandescent bulbs - thereby saving you quite a bit of money in the long run?
"The typical incandescent bulb lasts about 1,000 hours, while a 15-watt CFL bulb lasts 10,000 hours and a 12-watt LED bulb lasts 25,000 hours. In other words, incandescents last about a year while CFLs can last 10 years and LEDs up to 25."
