Obama took that blunder and with the media's help labeled McCain as a Washington insider who was part of the problem. It worked. His slide began after that. Palin actually had boosted McCain's lagging poll numbers and pulled him ahead of Obama's ticket for a while but once the media saw her impeccable executive record compared to Obama's zero executive experience governing nothing, they went into overdrive distorting everything about her and her family but never reporting on her accomplishments as a policy maker. That is fact.
Palin did hurt McCain. She excited the base and some Independents at first. But the more she opened her mouth, the more inexperienced she looked. McCain wanted Lieberman. I guess his people thought a pretty conservative woman would get him more votes. You want to blame the media and everyone else, sorry. It was her own doing.

We dodged a bullet when an old sick man chose an ignorant garrulous woman to be a heartbeat from the presidency. What possessed a guy like McCain to choose so badly we'll never know. But I'll infer that it showed a hankering for impulsive decisions that would have jeopardized the national security.

Palin was not ignorant. She won 3 tough debates against two seasoned political savvy politicians (governors) and won the governorship by a large margin over her incumbent opponent. She was great at policy making and working with both sides of the isle. She would make a great president, more so than the putative president we have now. Palin should have been at the top of the ticket in 08. As far as 'garrulous', I love her folksy talk.

Ask Chelsea if she thinks her mother would clobber Palin. And don't be shocked if Chelsea feels just as confident as Todd Palin.

Imagine if McCain/Palin had won and McCain died from a stroke from the stress of being POTUS while in office and suddenly we have President Palin. ****shudder****

It would be a lot better than a President (Hillary) Clinton.

She would have been 100% better than Obama and as well as Hillary. Ambassador Stephens and those 3 Americans would be alive today if she was in office.

You don't know that so why speculate what she would have done.

Palin couldn't run a bath, much less the most powerful nation on Earth.

Forget finding Libya on a map, so probably couldn't find the planet Libya is in on a map.
