I don't think anyone has said he isn't a piece of crap.
The thing is that she shouldn't be viewed as some sort of champion of civil rights. Her type sets feminism back a few hundred years. Move to LA and find some horny elderly rich guy to make your life easy. Blech.
Um Reread the first few pages. People are already trying to deflect from him.
Of course it will be a shakedown, it is already brewing and I predict will happen. You slight gays or minorities (especially blacks) and you have any money, power or fame and you better hold on tight because you are going to get unloaded on.
The fact that this was obtained illegally should be far more disgusting to the average person than what he said.
You have LeBron James, Mark Jackson, Magic Johnson all saying "this has no place in society".
So we just heard employees of the NBA (under the owners) dictating not only what the administration should do before even vetting the details, but they are claiming that speech (protected constitutionally) has no place in society.
Forget what the tawdry details are, the fact that ANYTHING spoken shouldn't be allowed in society is a crime against society.
Only ~30 people are owners of a NBA team, however every single American could be blackmailed by this type of invasion of privacy.
What details are there to be vetted? Oh, let me guess? Sterling really didn't say any of that junk?
if it's his private property then what is the problem?
As the Clippers are his property, Sterling has the right to do or say what he wants regarding them.
However, those he sells to (fans, etc.) and associates with (business owners, NBA owners, etc.) have the right to tell him that they no longer want to buy from him or associate with him, and that they will exert societal and, more importantly, economic pressure to get rid of him. Apply enough economic pressure to anyone, even a multibillionaire, and they will cave. Inshallah, that will happen to Donald Sterling.
