That's 11,268 people killed or injured vs just 331 instances of defensive gun use in the whole damn country. It's a completely different scale.
You should demonstrate the ability insinuated in your screen name, and really think for yourself.

1) the only gun nuts we have are nuts with guns. Law abiding citizens who possess firearms, and insist upon retaining their constitutionally protected right to have firearms are just exercising their rights. There is nothing "nutty" about refusing to give up your rights.

2) No law has ever prevented the behavior to which the law made illegal.

3) Criminals don't obey the law, therefore any law restricting or banning firearms will be ignored by criminals. The only possible result of such laws will simply guarantee that only criminals are armed, while law abiding citizens are made defenseless, making criminals safer.

Why do liberal gun nuts want to make criminals safer?

I for the life of me can't figure this one out, and many of our laws favor the criminals as well. Although the later is due to our judicial system being manipulated by lawyers.

Ask David Olofson if the BATFE doesn't prosecute with vigor.

And to your point, Mr. Baker, regarding the lack of prosecutions on lying on Form 4473s, we simply don’t have the time or manpower to prosecute everybody who lies on a form, that checks a wrong box, that answers a question inaccurately. - Joe Biden

Libs like to quote the UK figures like it proves anything. Yeah, they have a lower intentional homicide rate than the U.S.A. This is true, they do NOT have a lower intentional homicide rate than France or Sweden.

France and Sweden are ranked 12 and 9 respectively for highest gun ownership rates, with a ~30 guns to 100 people ownership rate.

Serbia ranks 2nd in gun ownership, and has the same intentional homicide rate as Britain. EXACTLY. There the rate is about 58 guns per 100 people.

Iceland's murder rate is .3 they have about 30% gun ownership. Germany's murder rate is .8 they have about 30% gun ownership. Austria, also in the 30% club has a rate of .6 ... all considerably lower than Britain's 1.2

Switzerland is 5th in gun ownership with around 45%, their intentional homicide rate is .7, Saudi Arabia? Around 35% ownership, .8 intentional homicide rate.

Why do most of the countries on the top 15 list of gun ownership have a lower intentional homicide rate than Britain?

Sources:
Number of guns per capita by country

List of countries by intentional homicide rate

Oh, I forgot to add: Britain saw a 25% drop in homicides in the last 15 years? Over the last 12, murder rates in Serbia have fallen around 60%, gun murders alone have fallen over 50%. Serbia has the second highest gun ownership rate in the world.)

Do you realize that Serbia has less people than London?
Do you realize that Swiss own guns but can't own bullets for these guns?

Go read on gun laws in Europę, if we had similar laws our Homicide ratę would be much lower:

Uh, apparently you don't know what the terms "rate" and "per capita" mean. The numbers are a straight comparison, try again.

Serbia reduced murders by DOUBLE the amount that Britain did, in the same time frame, while having the 2nd highest ownership rate.

I don't care what the laws say, that doesn't matter in the discussion of "do guns = crime", the numbers of guns in the country is what matters. And by using your own line of logic, I have conclusively proven that no, more guns do not equal more crime.

Hmmmmmmmmmm............................ let's see.

So the "deaths" that occur from guns are all by law abiding citizens with registered handguns? Wake up- criminals can and will get guns, regardless of laws. Witness the violence in Chicago (which has very tight firearm restrictions).

If you believe that restricting guns reduces violent crime, I would ask that you fly to the South Side of Chicago and explain that position in a calm, civilized manner to the people on the streets at 2 a.m. You will suddenly find yourself wishing you were one of the 331 instances of "defensive gun use"!

Are libs really that dense?
