Because there was no political downside to voting for it. Now America pays the price for legislative intransigence and a complete lack of foresight.

That particular contract is for $50 Million per year to run this resort for illegals. They plan on turning the Luxury Resort into a 600 beds facility and paying 650 people to run it.

Tennis Courts, Olympic Indoor Swimming pool, state of the art Fitness equipment - all the bells and whistles while our Veterans can't get either their Benefits OR they Medical Care. We have homeless people all over the country .... there is no justification for this sort of thing.

Describe how "they went after them" which implies threatening them with bodily harm. They went after the bus which they presumed was filled with these so-called refugees. It was a protest. Why make it out to be something it wasn't?

Actually makes me feel more sorry for the plight of AZ residents when every bus they see they think is full of illegals.

Did the kids look like illegals? Shouldn't somebody have stopped the bus and checked their IDs?

She's the reason we're in this mess. Had she never even proposed such non-sense, we wouldn't be dealing with delayed deportations. And Bush should have never signed it, although there were no political ramifications for not doing so. I imagine this little chunk of law was crammed into something far larger or was so obscure that no one even really gave it second thought.

Regarding the YMCA bus....who cares? He made a mistake.....yes......but his insight on placing illegal immigrants in communities is spot on.

The bill recieved bi-partisan support. Funny how those still in congress keeping their head down on this one. Looks like its not only Feinstein that is renegging.

Why is that "funny"?

President Bush sought comprehensive immigration reform.

It was Democrats whom controlled Congress at the time that obstructed President Bush's immigration objectives because they didn't want a Republican to get credit for immigration reform.

Democrats are two-faced and hypocritical.

They get wind of this in Guatemala, Honduras, el Salvador, even Mexico, seems to me that'll get even those "children" wearing the 6x underpants zipping across their countries to the Mexican border to get their spot at those great resorts!
They can't find money for decent healthcare for our vets but ZOOOM-speed-of-light Obama comes up with $50 million for an illegal's resort.

Typical Arizona idiot Republican.

Come on down folks and see the show. We've got a million more just like him.

I wish we could round up these tools and bus'em up to Utah.
