"The Obama Administration narrative is definitively torpedoed in this report — and yet the mainstream media, even more craven and dishonest than usual, is spinning the report as an exoneration of Obama."
Yes that is the Fox News summary "Torpedoed" LOL,
from the report:
Quote:
But as the Two-Way reported back in January, that report
also "takes issue with lawmakers who have been using the Obama administration's
initial statements about the attacks to make the case that the White House tried
to downplay whether they were the work of terrorists."
Noting that the report "was released with little fanfare on the Friday before
Thanksgiving week," the AP says, "Many of its findings echo those of six
previous investigations by various congressional committees and a State
Department panel."
No, that's not my attitude. It was a tragedy, no doubt about it.
Bad things happen in foreign embassies. They have in the past, and they undoubtedly will in the future. Bad things happened at embassies under both Republican and Democratic administrations. The difference here is that never before has one party dragged the dead through Congress for two years in an attempt to score political points off the tragedy, which is exactly what the GOP is doing here.
It's unconscionable that they are using the deaths of four Americans for purely political gain, but after watching them do this again and again on issue after issue, to paraphrase you, "what else should we expect" from the GOP?
I expect nothing productive from them, which is a good thing, because that's probably exactly what we're in for in the next two years. Nothing productive.
Many on the right didnt criticize Obama for what happened, he was criticized for blaming it on something like a video that wasnt to blame..
It was his response in question, not the actual action.. Ok, some people blamed Obama, but many others didnt.. To lump everyone together is ridiculous.
This was from the original investigation where questions were not answered etc., not the special committee that is ongoing. We'll see what that one finds. Honestly, it would be a welcomed lack of shenanigans if that were the case.

Right. Bad things happen. That's your answer.
What were they doing there in the first place? Why were their calls for additional security ignored ahead of the attack?
Here's an idea. Don't put Consulates in Muslim countries.
The sentence is from the author you linked to, not Fox news:
"The Obama Administration narrative is definitively torpedoed in this report — and yet the mainstream media, even more craven and dishonest than usual, is spinning the report as an exoneration of Obama."
That's a good summary of what the report says.
The report text is full of intelligence failures, but reading the report is beyond you and msm. So much easier to read the bullet points, relying on self-serving politicos to conclude on your behalf.

It's not a good summary if you have ADD, there is much more in the report and keep in mind it was bipartisan.
The House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans, has concluded that there was no deliberate wrongdoing by the Obama administration in the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, said Rep. Mike Thompson of St. Helena, the second-ranking Democrat on the committee.
Thompson said the report "confirms that no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given.
Meanwhile, the GOP House leadership has given the House Committee on Benghazi $3.3 million of our taxpayer dollars so they can continue the "investigation." Hearings resume in September. Because, you know, there's nothing of importance happening in the country that needs their attention.
This is what gerrymandered districts gets us. We have at least two more years of this nonsense.
Oh, really? And we are to trust this source (SFGate)?
This is not according to what I have been hearing/seeing in videos posted on this ongoing investigation.

The video connection came from the IC not Obama. Some in the IC got it wrong initially. The CIA didn't change its initial assessment for roughly 2 weeks. This latest report reconfirms that.
