The reason is purely political The liberals need the Hispanic vote. the largest growing immigrant voting class (both legal and Illegal) is from Mexico. The liberals need their vote to continue to be in office. Hence Mexico gets a pass and an open border. The Mideast is a problem because they supply OIL and our current administration with its green part refuse to either fully develop our resources to help the world cut free from the Mideast Oil Cartel so they need to keep them friendly by force.

The western countries divided the area without any thinking about tribal issues. Now with democratic elections this is coming to the forefront. Their political system was tribal and will never change so it is trying to revert to a tribal democratic society which does not fit what the West wants. This is what Europe went through in the Middle Ages where the powerful became kings and then portioned off the land to supporters.

The cartels didn't have to say it, they already did it in AZ, I remember when it happened.

To think American Democrats thought the party liked them, it was all about 'them'...... Seems Dems would not win if 'importing' people into the USA was not allowed.

The pitiful party of the 2.

I wonder why the Mexican government is putting up with these thugs. the first thing a government does is establish a monopoly on killing no matter how many have to be killed to accomplish it.

They have killed civilians though, plenty of them. The Zetas have engaged in direct terrorist attacks including killing 52 people at a casino and attacks on oil pipelines.
