As Dixie goes, so NOT does the nation. Expected Republican wins in Red states to control a lame duck Congress does NOT mean that the Republicans are not in a free fall. Pretending to be moderate doesn't change the stench of the ideology that gave us Bush. Over the next two years, we'll see what Republicans really are, and the failure to be like Dems, will spell suicide for the Pubs. The country is headed Left.

Republicans win the Senate by sounding like Democrats: America is moving toward the left.

Theodore Roosevelt was a Republican in name only, who eventually switched to the Progessive Party!

The Republicans that contributed to his campaign were duly angry with him:

"Sheesh! We gave him all that money to do a job, and he's not doing it!"

Down deep inside, Teddy was anti-business, anti-rich!

I'm sure there's some "Teddy's" in some of those Republicans elected!

So not sounding like an idiot is sounding like Democrats. That's really setting the bar high.

I'm enjoying the Democrat spin though.

So the republicans acknowledge the problems that exist and you have a problem with that? It's the democratic party that either created many of the problems or didn't do anything the fix the problems.

Hopefully the republicans can come up with some solutions, but with Obama the obstructionist/narcissist in the WH I doubt much will be done. Obama will exit left doing his usual tap dance blaming the republicans and enter stage right will be Hillary chomping on the bit blaming the republicans.

Conservatives, a much older demographic, the kind that dominates these mid-terms, are actually the ones dying off.

Frankly, I wasn't feeling bad anyway.

A good old fashioned house cleaning is good for the party and the country.
