Thank you. This is what people are missing.

Yes, of course you have the right to protest. That b.s. that was thrown out earlier in the thread: "Oh so they shouldn't have the right, just sit down and shut up?" NO ONE SAID THAT, stop being obtuse. People have the right to protest, but YOUR RIGHTS END WHERE MINE BEGIN.

What part of that do some people in this country NOT understand? You have your rights, yes you do. I will stand up for them, absolutely. You have the right to be a full time protester, following the protests around the country like people used to follow the Grateful Dead. Have at it! But again, YOUR RIGHTS END WHERE MINE BEGIN. Blocking people from getting to their jobs means that your rights now end. If you want to protest, do so, but don't block other people from getting to their jobs, or where ever it is they were going, you do NOT have that right.

Tear gas, pepper spray cans, sonic dispersal, microwave pain devices... But lets never bring back the safe and effective water cannon.

The problem with those types of interstate closing protests is that it can mean life or death if they block traffic for emergency crews trying to get to a crash or ambulances taking people to hospitals, private autos doing the same etc.

There was an incident where a woman tried to go around some Trayvon protestors with some sort of kid with a medical emergency and she got assaulted.

Someone is going to get killed doing that someday, just like the bikers out in NJ that got BADLY hurt and many charged with mob violence stemming from the altercation with the guy in the Range Rover that they messed with and then tried to attack. (So he sped off injuring several)

Nobody is going to gain any social awareness and support for their issue by burning stuff down, blocking interstates 2000 miles away, assaulting people etc etc etc.

What were they protesting about? Was the free Wifi in their college dorms not fast enough?

See how that works.
How many of those blocked interstates or devolved into riots, looting and burning? See how that works?

Sources inside CPD tell Got News that Bosman (photo above) demanded a level of protection afforded A-List celebs and dignitaries. But an investigation revealed that she was not in any danger, and deserved no more than extra attention paid to her address by patrol.

Bosman “wasn’t under any real threat” says a Chicago police officer. “She came in thinking she was Steven Spielberg or something shooting a movie” demanding all kinds of protections says a law enforcement source with knowledge of the Chicago police.

I don't know rather to laugh or cry. That pathetic excuse for a human being used her position as a reporter to terrorize an innocent man. Now she goes whining that she is entitled to police protection? If she is concerned, she should hire her own body guards. As the courts have long established, the police are under no mandate to protect any individual.

Ironic huh? Hope she has to look over her shoulder for a long while. That arrogance and "self importance" is disgusting.

micla0, you wouldn't have done anything. You would have just sat around and waited for the police to clear the protesters.
