Didn't these officers take an Oath to be subordinate and show the proper respect towards senior leadership and their Mayor as Commander-In-Chief?

If the mayor's feelings are hurt, he should go on a long vacation. Isn't that when Obama's approval numbers go up? When he's not visibly doing his job.

It's a sad state of affairs when approval ratings go up, for NOT doing your job.

Di Blasio is a piece of work, that stinks.

The office of the Mayor is now coming unglued and it's no shock. The city voted for a pure progressive socialist, and this is exactly what they got. Now the city is coming off the rails, and heading back into the days of Dinkins and the mess he created.

I doubt de Blasio's feelings are hurt, one has to put on their big boy pants to be the mayor of a city like New York.

DeBlasio foolishly and needlessly alienated the NYC law enforcement community. Now he's trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube. It ain't gonna happen.

What I find amusing is how the wingnuts line up to support the police union (as instructed by FOX) while demonizing every other union in America. You folks might as well have strings attached to your arms and room inside for a hand to operate your lower jaw.

And it gets even more funny when the police arrest a wingnut that violates the law and the right wingers turn on the police calling them thugs and claiming places are a police state.

I think the phrase 'all lives matter.' should sum it up adequately. Cops should not be killed in the line of duty- or off duty. And petty crime should not result in a death sentence.

The killer in this instance wasn't even a protester he was a wacko who killed before & will probably kill again if given the chance. What he has to do with 99.99% of protesters is beyond me.

And what the vast majority of cops have to do with the very few who either use poor judgment or temper that results in death is also beyond me.

Its pretty said that we are having these conversations mostly for the benefit of Al Sharpton and the right wing noise machine when there are very real problems facing many citizens and police officers.
