Your "open minded" because earlier you were oblivious to the autopsy report.
Once you read what killed him, yes....he was choked to death. You can spin it and call it whatever you want but that's what killed him.
Now if he'd had an asthma attack while resisting arrest, or a heart attack or got tased and coded....then that's different.
The guy was resisting, I have no problem with some rough stuff but there is a reason they don't want cops putting potentially fatal holds on a guy. I mean, you screw up a joint hold maybe you break an arm or soemthing but you don't kill the guy.
Please, if you think I'm missing something then explain it rather than just make backhanded vague claims that I'm not being open minded. Let's see a rationally constructed argument.
Apparently the autopsy found that he was not choked to death. There was no damage to the windpipe. The "chokehold" may have contributed to his death. A choke hold is different than being choked to death by asphyxiation.
"But a source close to the Medical Examiner’s investigation said coroners are also investigating whether the chokehold still contributed to Garner’s death by aggravating his pre-existing conditions of obesity, asthma and possible heart disease. He died of cardiac arrest in the ambulance on the way to the hospital."

As I speculated, NYPD now letting some crimes go and response
If they'd had this approach to a guy selling single cigs for pennies back in July, instead of strangling him, they could have saved themselves a whole lot of grief.
Something tells me that slacking off now isn't going to gain them much support.
pantin"If they are refusing to do their jobs, simply because the mayor thought the killing of Eric holder was unjust, than DeBlasio should go all Ronald Regan VS the Air traffic controllers on them "
I agree, as this is just another union utilizing thuggish behavior.

They only get sympathy with certain groups. Some of us know that the behavior they are displaying is nothing more than impetuous adolescence.
.....and due to historical racism leading to high rates of poverty....which leads to crime....a higher percentage of blacks have "police interactions".
The population ratio is actually more like 6-1 and blacks have around triple the violent crime so....that knocks the ratio down to around the 2-1 ratio which matches up roughly with police shootings.
I again ask you to show us your math! How do you arrive at these numbers? Now I know the jury is out on whether Mathematics is exact, but I hold the believe that math is an exact science. It just is. Statistics are not, however. So, a nice breakdown from you to validate your claim would be nice.
