Hopefully it doesn't resemble the last 6 years of an episode of The Jeffersons.

One day someone is going to have to explain the hostility/anger that so many conservatives express when talking about liberals. Most of the name calling I've seen has been a conservative calling a liberal something, whether it be on this forum, in Fox News, or conservative news websites like breitbart.com and stuff...

All of this despite the fact that the conservative party in this country is the one that clings to the flag in one hand and a bible in the other. Somehow, I don't think this is the sort of attitude Jesus wanted his followers to have, or one the founding fathers would've felt contributes to healthy exchange of ideas.

I don't see any difference between liberals & conservatives with name calling, invoking the worst of stereotypes, etc. ad nauseam. You just proved it with the flag/bible comment. This ironically when you call out the other side for doing the same thing.

But then again, the entire liberal vs conservative mime is nothing but a false battle designed to keep the people distracted from any real real relevant issue. Beyond a few social (overplayed) wedge issues, there is almost no difference between the Democratic and Republican parties.

Yup. All of the wealthy, well-to-do millionaires on BOTH SIDES of the political isle lining up for their chance at the winning vote. What happened to the "Harry Trumans" and the "Calvin Coolidges" of the political world?

Calvin Coolidge's father served in the Vermont legislature. So did his grandfather.

Harry Truman gained office, from his county judgeship to his Senate seat, from the patronage of the Pendergast political machine of Kansas City. He then became President only because in 1944 FDR had to replace Vice President Henry Wallace on the ticket (because everyone close to FDR knew he wouldn't survive his term, and Wallace was absolutely unacceptable as the next President of the United States to virtually all DNC delegates) - and of all the possible replacements, only Truman was acceptable (mostly to the labor movement) as a compromise candidate.

You're living in a fantasy world in which you idealize the "good old days" without actually understanding them.

Comes down to a vote between Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber.

Doesn't matter who wins. The Prez is just a puppet. Do you honestly notice any real change for the better, when "your" party wins? Or do things just continue to go downhill anyway?

The folks who are really running things are international, and don't represent us - just themselves.

I love it when failing socialist nations use the U.S. as a scapegoat for their own failures.
