Because there are no guns stores in Chicago proper.

Where do you think America's guns are coming from, exactly?
Are you saying that if the government took everyone's guns away, then it would be just as easy to get guns?

49 killed out of 2.7 million people over 200 sq. miles
9 killed out 200 people in a parking lot
I 'll take my chances in peaceful Chicago

I'm not even sure what we're talking about anymore.

I was saying that Chicago gun control doesn't work because the criminals can just go to Indiana, so gun control would need to be national to be effective.

It seems like you've conceded that point.

State laws are way too easy to circumvent... most Chicago gangsters simply drive to Indiana for a gun show and come back armed to the teeth.

Of course, the real problem is that gun enthusiasts are usually paranoid and irrational people who only care about being prepared to kill whoever tries to f--k with them, so you'll never get the gun-enthusiast state reps on board.
This has to be the furthest from the truth. In the majority of threads I've seen on C-D , the proponents of the 2nd amendment are the ones that seem rational and far from paranoid. There has been maybe one or two that I can recall but way less than the over emotional , lack of common sense I see coming from the other side. Interesting.

Chicago gun control DOES in fact work....if not, why would they have to go else where?

I do hate to read this about Chicago and how the liberals have screwed up this once-peaceful city, like it was during the 1920 and 30s.
