I agree with this----I hate the gotcha moment---and it swings both ways---unfortunately that's where things have gone. A con says "nappy headed ho" and his career is over, a liberal embellishes his resume espousing his military service, and his career is over.
I live by the "glass houses" theory.
That said, I think if the OP didn't mention the "(D)" after the politician's name----there wouldn't be any problems.

By law, I don't see how it can be consensual. He was slapped on the wrist for contributing to her delinquency as a MINOR.
But you can't grasp that because he's white, so therefore it's ok since the mom may have "consented" to it.
No, what you can supposedly see is that if this guy were black, he wouldn't be around. That's what you took from a clear case of statutory rape by a white dude.

I doubt that, typically this is political suicide for any politician regardless of party, though there are always those that still get elected even if they have an R or D after their name.
