If you think sentient, living humans forced into slavery amount to a clump of fetal cells that would never survive outside a womb, then you may want to take a look at the 3 fingers pointing back at you when you point your finger at those who are pro-choice.

It may not survive but it's way more then a "clump of cells"

2nd trimester has a heartbeat and you can tell the sex via ultrasound.

1.2% is not many, it is a very few. Using "many" as a descriptor leads the easily fooled to think it is a common occurrence.

It's still not a baby. It is a fetus - a potential human - that has no chance of surviving outside of a woman's uterus.

First trimester fetuses have a heartbeat....

Is survival outside the uterus the measure that describes a viable human being?

that is truly when it becomes a live breathing person.

It's a measure but probably not the most significant one. A 20 week fetus lacks the neural networks necessary for consciousness - it has no brain waves.

You're playing with percentages vs whole numbers. Sure, 1.2% is a small percentage, but when the total is 1 million, that small percentage is 12,000. Whether 33 post-20 week abortions per day is many, hardly any, common or uncommon is subjective. I personally think when something happens almost 1 1/2 times per hour every day of the year, it's closer to common than rare. 'Routine' is a decent word to use.

I am dispassionately stating a fact. Of the 2740 abortions that take place each day, 33 of them are post 20 weeks. The post to which I originally replied said "many abortions...", meaning many of the 2740 that occur every day. 33 is very few of the 2740 daily abortions.

When discussing the total number of women having abortions, a post 20 week abortion is hardly a common event and to state that it is, is a lie.

Yes, and most abortions do not take place then.
