You're playing with percentages vs whole numbers. Sure, 1.2% is a small percentage, but when the total is 1 million, that small percentage is 12,000. Whether 33 post-20 week abortions per day is many, hardly any, common or uncommon is subjective. I personally think when something happens almost 1 1/2 times per hour every day of the year, it's closer to common than rare. 'Routine' is a decent word to use.
All the woman has to say is no. And if he doesn't take no for an answer she can have him arrested and charged with rape and destroy his life. I would say that's a lot of power.

Exactly, they both play an equal part in it. It's harkens back to the old gatekeeper stereotype. In which women must protect her virtue from horny men who need sex. It denies the fact that women get just as horny as men and want sex just as much. And if people think that women don't get pushy over sex than they don't know many women.

You'd be a great horror movie writer. Most abortions aren't nearly that...eventful.
In reality, they happen very early on, when chances are good for a miscarriage anyway, and the fetus would never survive outside the body.
