Shame that she was out just before a visit by Huckabee and Cruz.
I assume she will resign her position now because she wouldn't want to preside over clerks that issue SSM marriage certificates.
She was released as the Deputy Clerk's are now issuing the licenses. The Judge made clear that her release was based off her no longer blocking her Deputy Clerk's from issuing the licenses (something she previously refused to do) so it will be interesting to see what transpires.

I doubt it. I think we'll find out that god made a special appearance to reassure her that it was OK with him that she do whatever it takes to keep that 80K paycheck.
As long as the licensing continues, it's fine by me.
Why are still discussing this? We have a County clerk who refused to marry gay people, because she does have a relationship with the Lord. Then we got a Judge who does not believe in any morals!
However If I was that clerk I would of appointed a second tier employee to handle the gay marriage think. It is disgraceful that we as a country in many ways accept Gay marriage as a norm.
Her mother was the long time elected clerk. Kim was a 24 year employee under her mother. Ky allows elected officials to employ relatives and determine compensation. Kim was paid substantially more than those performing the same job. This was eventually challenged and Kim's comp was reduced by the court. Mama retired. Kim ran for her mama's job and was elected to a 4 year term, paying $80,000 in a county with a median household income of $20k something.
So now we know why she is a democrat.

This is a consequence of multiculturalism - divided USA values - that the American peeps will need to sort out (since their votes don't seem to have a voice - you remember?).
Gay marriage has been voted DOWN in multiple states - you remember?
I'm surprised that you seem surprised by this.
