Cause Cops ARE a deterrent. Shooters want to kill unarmed people. If they wanted to do a suicide by Cop they'd just ambush a Cop.
1. We can't afford them at every school,across the country
2. What happens when the shooter goes left and the cop thinks they went right? Oops dead kids!
We can't afford to keep teachers paid or buy supplies, and you want to have armed guards on every campus and grade school in the USA? Now do you,know why you don't get a response?
I have three daughters that are teachers.... None of them are starving. Their classrooms have adequate supplies. Yes we can make the funding available to hire security for every school in this country. Although you may have to spend some of YOUR money to do it. Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is? I am.

The sad thing here is, I honestly believe you are well intentioned, but terribly misinformed. There are many gun laws on the federal books that are not being enforced which would reduce violence, but the fact is, the federal government doesn't enforce them. What good does it do to write new laws, when the ones currently on the books aren't even enforced? There are solutions, but they are being ignored because of cost. What price do you put on the lives of our children? What cost do you put on the life of anyone you care about? Ignoring the debate and demanding your way or no way is always a recipe for failure. If you want to fail, continue on your present coarse....
Which laws would you be speaking of that are not being enforced, unless they are laws in red states? I know in California they do enforce all the laws and in certain cities have increased them and they are working. I thought all you "gun lovers" didn't want the Feds involved in your business, now you are complaining that the federal government doesn't enforce existing laws. Can you name any? I'll write my congressional leaders and get them on the ball! Hope you will join me. Costs? I don't care what it costs! Get it done. Damn the costs. Let's take it out of the war funds as we should. My present course is just fine, but thanks for your concern.

If your present coarse is just fine, please enjoy your failure. You asked for an example of a law that is not enforced. Well here is one for you.. If you are a felon and attempt to go in and legally purchase a firearm through a gun shop and you are denied for your felony, you have just violated federal law. Don't worry, you won't be arrested and even if you are out on parole, you won't be revoked. You can go on your merry way. How are gun free zones making things worse? We have all lived in gun free zones as long as I have been alive, then I moved to Texas for awhile. I guess I don't get it.
