Amen. Why don't "constitutional experts" realize this? The president swears to uphold our laws and then doesn't do it.

Immigration reform won't happen no matter who is president, even people like Marco Rubio have left the room when it comes to reform. Trump is the only one with a plan to deport 11 Million illegal immigrants, that's pretty much it when it comes to reform.

Its almost like you dont understand how spending is decided in our country.

We don't need any "reform". The immigration laws have been working for decades. Just allot more money to enforcing the laws on the books to keep the cheaters from sneaking into the country. I would support a law that elevates illegal entry or overstaying a visa a more serious offense.

Barack is a lame duck. He is to be ignored until a new president with legitimacy is elected.

It either does not happen or it's the "amnesty type" as the only Republicans who have any chance of being elected are all "amnesty type" guys. In fact, immigration reform is more likely with a Republican than a democrat as the House will just stonewall any democrat initiative while being obligated to support their president if a Republican.

If Ryan is bothered by Obama "going around congress," wouldn't the fix be for congress to pass whatever reform they wanted.

IMO, this is nothing but a poorly veiled excuse for Ryan appealing to the hard conservatives without facing his own views as listed here: Paul Ryan on Immigration

Ryan is just another pandering political wimp who scapegoats.
All that was being proposed was amnesty not reform. Most conservatives don't want that same mistake repeated again. There is nothing hard about that.

Illegal immigration became a tidal wave in the 80's and peaked in 2006/7 with the housing bubble.

It has not mattered who sat the oval or held the purse.

30 years of doing nothing is no accident.

Actually, the Congress would have to authorize the money for the fence and other measures the bill called for.
