Cavuto gently tried to school her in simple math and after her initially bring tongue tied blathered on about the 1%. Typical liberal talking points. So she must have failed math.
This girl needs to be deprogrammed.
She probably has wealthy parents who gave her an "allowance" since age 10. She did not know or care where the money came from as long as she got it every week. She watched too much TV where money never changes hands.
I think a better question to ask is: Why is college now $50K per year? I got a world class education 20 years ago for $1,800 a semester in tuition.
This girl does see that in other countries they DO have free college education. Don't you think there should be a middle ground between free and saddled with $200K of debt for college?
There's no doubt that college is valuable-- College graduates have virtually full employment despite what you hear. College graduates make almost a million dollars more over their life time than nongraduates.
While free is not the answer, there is a real problem here.
I really can't stand this liberal notion that once you make a certain amount of money it should be taken from you and given to others.
Cavuto was explaining to her that the 1% were already being taxed at a high rate but she just wants more and more until all of the things she thinks she and her generation think they are "entitled" to, become more affordable (or free!)
Cavuto is right... push it too far and rich people will just leave and live somewhere else.

Cavuto would easily destroy that argument. More typical liberal talking points. Government issues contracts to private industry and paid for over time. That money is already factored into the budget. There is a return for that money spent not to mention the jobs it creates. But we all know liberals hate jobs when they attack the industries that creates them.
Our government spends more on the military industrial complex than all other governments, combined. And that my folks comes out of your tax dollars. European countries like France and Norway have similar tax burdens as those of the USA but have much better public services, free health care, etc. Because they don't spend their tax dollars on killing people.
Stealing from those who have little was the answer that wall street came up with when they wanted trillions of dollars to bail them out.

Yep. It seems many hypocrites have no problem creating TRILLIONS out of thin air for the richest and most powerful in society, but when it comes to the BACKBONE of our economy and country there is no help to be found. The majority are stuck with stagnating wages, less opportunity and rising costs.
Anybody that thinks our country and economy can sustain itself when 95% of all new income is going to less than 1% of the population and wages for 90% of the population are in stagnation or decline is an idiot.

We are in the midst of unprecedented money creation by the Federal Reserve-TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS-and it is nearly all going to the most powerful and connected parasites-people like Neil Cavuto that continuously ignore that fact are dishonest and discredited. He is a Media Puppet convincing poor people to be useful idiots to the richest parasites.

When your whole answer is exactly how others speak it, you show you have done no research of your own. College kids are our future doctors, nurses, lawyers etc......if they only have college talking points how will they handle the real world.

How can the Federal Reserve time and time again create TRILLIONS out of thin air for the richest and most connected parasites in society but do nothing for the backbone and working class of society? Bailouts, Quantitative Easing, No-bid contracts, Allowing Tax Evasion, etc.
You people realize that money has no inherent value right? People do, yet we are funneling TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS into the hands of a tiny fraction of society-some foreign institutions too. Most of these institutions are cutting their workforce in the US and hiring workers in other countries. Soon, we won't even be needed as consumers, as they are building Middle Classes in other countries. They have taken our money and RAN.
Yet, some people on here have been trained to complain about helping Americans and our students/workers when we give TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS to banks and institutions that are leaving Americans and The US behind to pursue a global society/economy.
