In the US we are satisfied with 30 thousand gun deaths a years to support an antiquated notion of the need to carry firearms. A few hundred more from other terrorists should matter much.

No, I'm not 'cool' with muslims from anywhere until they can show there's a change in muslim behavior in all muslim areas. As long as islam continues to breed violence and terrorism, there's a problem with it.
So this is about religion, you don't get to pick and choose which religions people are allowed to practice in the US.
If you like all this multiculturalism so much, why don't you just move to France? Maybe somewhere in the Paris vicinity. The religion of peace will display some fireworks in your honor.
Because I don't speak French, and the plane tickets back to the Northwest to visit family would be extremely expensive.
It is idiotic to assume that religious freedom here is a ticket to let them in.

Actually it is, when we start picking which religions are and are not allowed in the US, we begin to lose our freedoms as Americans. As someone that is on the right wing politically, I would assume you were against taking away freedoms from Americans.
1. Return to the immigration policy before 1966, in which we favored western nations and those with skills over unskilled, third world immigrants. The mass of immigrants to the US since the 1960s have been from third world nations.
2. Enforce US immigration and deport illegals.
3. Build a fence and place the miliary on the Mexican border- terrorists will come through this open avenue.
4. Stop immigration of Muslims to the US- Muslims have been shown time and time again to harbor and foster terrorists among thier ranks. Granted, only a few are terrorists; but only a few snakes are poisonous as well. There are many, many potential immigrants to the US who do not have genocide as thier primary objective.
5. Cooperate with Syria (Obama was an imbecile to side with terrorists over Assad), Russia, Israel, Turkey and Jordan in the mideast to defeat the Islamic state.
6. Don't give Iran nukes- they are a state sponser of terror and will be more bold when they get nukes.
7. Cooperate with European governments to change thier open borders immigration policy. Many of these "migrants" find thier way to the US from Europe.
8. Profile middle easterners from age 15-60 in airports, surveilance, bank transfers, and restrictions on travel in the US.
In short, reverse liberal policy, which is self destructive and dangerous.

What we need to do is stop making dangerous, intolerant muslims into American citizens in the first place. It is sheer idiocy to import a population which has demonstrated in EVERY VENUE to bring violence, intolerance, and rejection of western culture.
Why the hell would a rational nation SEEK to import-
1. Muslims- who seem to have the market cornered on terrorism
2. Intolerant individuals who reject the political and cultural norms of our nation
3. Foreign citizens who lack any skills and are illiterate in thier own language
4. Criminals who continue to commit crimes in the US

UN Migration policy ...first world countries need migrants from 3rd world countries to economically survive. Multiculturalism over nationalism must be stressed.
