None of these proposals have any more merit than the 1934 Nuremburg Laws of Germany. THey both have absolutely no merit.
You just don't understand the problem. Those laws are just like Sharia. Liberalism only works in a culture of tolerance. So you either use a similar force or you submit.
It can be avoided by making sure one does no important intolerance. We are not doing it and Europe is already failed. One one European states falls the Sharia its going to get very ugly.
And that's probably most of them. Be a bit difficult weeding out the "good" Mohammed's from the bad Mohammed's.
No. It's not most of them. There are 400,000 names on the list, and only 5% of those are legal residents of the United States. That is only 20,000 people. If they are on the watchlist, we are already suspecting that they are the "bad Mohammeds", so why are we letting them buy guns and explosives?
If the list doesn't preclude them from buying weapons, what good is the list?
The simple answer is if they are an American citizen and not prohibited from owning a firearm otherwise, yes, they should be able to buy one. I fail to see why this is worthy of a discussion.
Now, if they're on a watch list, and for good reason, HELL NO they shouldn't be able to buy a firearm. If they passed the NICS check, that is a failure of our government and needs to be addressed.
Question will light up the big "TILT" light for those who simultaneously support Obama's Muslim Refugee Program and Obama's Let's Take Guns Away From Public program.
I don't know about Muslims in general, but people on the terrorist watch list should definitely be prevented from buying guns. This is something we are not doing now, which is insane.
If you're an American without a criminal record or you're not a head case, you should have the right to own a firearm.
I don't get the religion angle at all.
Yes, me either...
Continue all efforts to bring gun control to the optimum level while maintaining our Constitutional rights to bear arms, and we're good.
I wonder which brings the more terror to more people; refugees or those who have perpetrated mass killings at our schools and public places...
