"Applying income equality" involves pointing a gun at someone one way or another. That makes you a robber and thus a criminal. I hope you burn in hell for that.
I don't begrudge top entertainers or athletes the wages they command because, as others have stated, their pay is based directly on demand for their services.
But I have often thought that non-producers should be taxed at a higher rate than producers.

Don't be mad at me. I am just trying the liberal ideology.
I mean seriously why should they be paid so much money? What do they produce? No technology, products, services? Nothing. This is income inequality at the finest.
What an unbelievable system!
Why mad at CEOs? Hell at least they lead companies that produce something. Let's apply the income equality across the board, starting with Hollywood.
and the only way to fix this and the other high salaries for athletes and musicians is to quit supporting them with your purchase of tickets, CD's, DVD's and other branded merchandise.
Yup. They make what they do because people will pay to see them and buy stuff made by them.

And just WHAT do you think they're gonna produce without actors/actresses the public will pay to see?
Why are you only railing against women actors when your link also lists the men? For those who are interested, here's the list of male actors and what they earn:
Robert Downey Jr.: $80,000,000
Jackie Chan: $50,000,000
Vin Diesel: $47,000,000
Bradley Cooper: $41,500,000
Adam Sandler: $41,000,000
Tom Cruise: $40,000,000
Amitabh Bachchan: $33,500,000
Salman Khan: $33,500,000
Akshay Kumar: $32,500,000
Mark Wahlberg: $32,000,000
Total pikers.
Bill and Hillary Clinton have a reported net worth of $111 million.
I know, let's vote Hillary for President and she, being a member of us little people, will work hard to fix the system! People Power!
Actors and pro athletes make millions per year because people are willing to pay money to watch them work. I'm sure if you could fill an arena or theater with people watching you work than you could be rich also.
