"Applying income equality" involves pointing a gun at someone one way or another. That makes you a robber and thus a criminal. I hope you burn in hell for that.

I don't begrudge top entertainers or athletes the wages they command because, as others have stated, their pay is based directly on demand for their services.

But I have often thought that non-producers should be taxed at a higher rate than producers.

What an unbelievable system!

Why mad at CEOs? Hell at least they lead companies that produce something. Let's apply the income equality across the board, starting with Hollywood.

Apparently someone needs to retake Basic Econ again.

However, between those two links and lists, I picked up on a theme.

Don't be mad at the actors and athletes, be mad at the audience who is willing to pay so much money to watch them act and play sports.

If my mere presence in a film or on a field/court makes millions of people willing to spend money to watch me, I want a fair cut.

Yup. They make what they do because people will pay to see them and buy stuff made by them.

And just WHAT do you think they're gonna produce without actors/actresses the public will pay to see?

Actors and pro athletes make millions per year because people are willing to pay money to watch them work. I'm sure if you could fill an arena or theater with people watching you work than you could be rich also.
