In a nutshell, Trump's many bankruptcies make him untouchable for loans from most US or European financial houses. So, he goes for "other" means of getting funds for his ventures. Those avenues include Russian sources. Sources connected to Putin.
Here you go:
"several of Trump’s businesses outside of Russia are entangled with Russian financiers inside Putin’s circle.
So, yes, it’s true that Trump has failed to land a business venture inside Russia. But the real truth is that, as major banks in America stopped lending him money following his many bankruptcies, the Trump organization was forced to seek financing from non-traditional institutions. Several had direct ties to Russian financial interests in ways that have raised eyebrows. What’s more, several of Trump’s senior advisors have business ties to Russia or its satellite politicians."
"He received a portion of the $14*million paid by Agalarov and other investors to bring the pageant to Moscow. Agalarov said he and Trump signed an agreement to build a Trump Tower in the heart of Moscow — at least Trump’s fifth attempt at such a venture. And Trump seemed energized by his interactions with Russia’s financial elite at the pageant and a glitzy after-party in a Moscow nightclub."

FBI investigation underway that the cybercrime against the Democratic Party was done by Russian intelligence. At the same time, Trump's deep connections to Putin and his colleagues are being increasingly exposed:
"The theory that Moscow orchestrated the leaks to help Trump, who has repeatedly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and practically called for the end of NATO, is fast gaining currency within the Obama administration because of the timing of the leaks and Trump’s own connections to the Russian government" (source)
Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, worked as a lobbyist for the Russian-backed former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych for more than a decade.
"The Trump campaign worked behind the scenes last week to make sure the new Republican platform won’t call for giving weapons to Ukraine to fight Russian and rebel forces, contradicting the view of almost all Republican foreign policy leaders in Washington."
“Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,” Trump’s son, Donald Jr., told a real estate conference in 2008... “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”
"Since the 1980s, Trump and his family members have made numerous trips to Moscow in search of business opportunities, and they have relied on Russian investors to buy their properties around the world. ... his debt load has grown dramatically over the last year, from $350 million to $630 million."
The dots are all here. It's just a matter of connecting them.
There is serious reason to believe that Trump, if elected, would be seriously compromised by his business and personal ties to Vladimir Putin and Russian financiers.
Yawn.
Who cares.
We're not at war with Russia, are we?
If we were, about 100 million Americans would already be dead.
No "direct ties" from what they've looked into. As my links indicate, his ties aren't direct but they're Russian.
Of course, his tax returns would clear all this up and he's frightened to death that they might be leaked.
This guy is hiding LOTS of things that make his shady deals look less than "brilliant."
So far they haven't found any direct ties. We'll see.
There are hundreds of posts by Trump supporters on this forum in different threads calling the Russian hacking story a lie, fabricated by the Democrats. So now what will they claim after Reince Priebus told Fox this morning that Trump accepts the intelligence community's reports?

"It's a rigged system, folks" (spoken by a certain candidate in early Nov 2016)
You do understand that the president is not elected by the popular vote? <<<<<< Rhetorical BTW....
I also remember someone saying that
Quote:
“And let’s be clear about what he’s saying and what he means. He’s denigrating—he’s talking down our democracy. I for one am appalled that somebody who is the nominee of one of our major two parties would take that kind of position.”[LEFT]

Of course, she also backed jill.....but you don't care about facts......

I don't think anyone is disputing this fact. However, the popular vote does show that the majority of Americans don't favor Trump. If he wants to unite the country (not sure that's his or the GOP's goal) then he needs to listen to the more than 70 million voters who did not check Trump on their ballots in Nov.

Once you reach a point in voting, once you reach the threshold, it dose not matter how many more people vote, once you win that state, you win the those votes in the EC.....
Are you saying that the more people in that state the more EC votes there should be?
