The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is proposing to mechanically limit the speed of buses and semis over 26,000 pounds to under 68 miles per hour. The idea focuses on safety concerns but also would improve fuel efficiency.
i want to say stuff but if i do, i will need to repent, will get banned from the board and likely have violated the conscience of the most atheistic libertarian...
Retaliatory force is the only just form of force. "Regulations" and presumption of guilt (or liability) "crimes" before the fact are abominations. "Speeding" in and of itself, until an accident actually occurs, is a fictional "crime".
All actual crimes, initiations of force, are committed by those who breathe. We could "regulate" and "fight" these future crimes by making breathing illegal.
It doesn't matter- it's just another law that won't be enforced. How often do we see trucks pulled over by police- very rarely.
I should have made it more clear in the headline, but in the story it says MECHANICALLY regulated, meaning it would be physically impossible to go over 68MPH.
Don't you think driving 80 MPH on any public road is more stupid?
I don't. Take any major highway at off hours, if people drive safely and respect the left lane laws it makes a big difference.
