Note, while its not clear if the man was actually conscious during this fit (could've been involuntary spasms in reaction to the drugs that happened when man was unconscious), I refuse to get worked up over the possibility that a murderous maniac felt pain during his execution.
Always have to consider what was done to the victim in these cases. He deserves no compassion.
Absolutists believe that it is wrong to kill a person who has a right to life in any circumstance. Moderate believe a person's right to life can be justifiably infringed upon in certain cases (perhaps in case where killing a person would save the lives of thousands. )
e.g. A sniper. A sniper kills in order to save lives.
ONLY a dumbass would call a sniper coward. Sniper follows strict rule of engagement and honor code in battle field.

I believe - in many cases - war to be completely unnecessary. I believe we peons are used as chess pieces on the chess board of life and it angers me to no end.
I don't think snipers are cowards nor do I think they are necessarily immoral. I think they are doing what they are told to do. I do think the people who tell them to kill others are more at fault than those pulling the trigger.
Even though many animals have communities, only human beings have civilizations. We have made a set of mutual agreements that are completely unique in the animal kingdom. Some of these are very basic agreements, such as "do not kill," others are more nuanced, such as "do not litter," but they are what separate us from the rest of the animals.
By violating the most basic tenets of these mutual agreements, a person basically removes themselves from civilization and joins the animals that civilization keeps at bay. When a tiger jumps over the zoo wall and starts biting people, although we acknowledge that the tiger's behaviors are not its fault, we still just shoot the tiger. Similarly, while many capital offenders have had extremely challenging experiences, their offenses are not tolerated by civilization and they must be put down.

I respect your opinion and I agree with you that war, in many cases, are completely unnecessary.

West Pointers are taught "Duty, Honor, Country" in that order. The Geneva Convention and all its amendments are very clear.
I think one country's war criminal is another country's national hero. So, I think the political consequences would probably outweigh the initial alleged crime anyway.
