Before WWI, America had the mindset of staying out of international problems and focusing directly on America. It worked out really well for us. We advanced technologically and really became "the best" in the world.
Since the 1960s, we've been focusing too much on international problems that have ZERO effect on everyday life in America.
I agree with you there.
But there is nothing wrong with giving a well-deserved spanking to Assad while putting the lie to the "Trump is a Russian puppet" meme.
It's going to be fun watching the anti-Trumps continue their "investigations" -- which were already ridiculous.
The Trump administration acted as if it answers to the Kremlin instead of Congress.
How can that be?

The Kremlin is ticked about Trump's legal strike.
Since Russia is there and in large force, it makes sense to alert them - especially so no "friendly fire" happens. You are kind of daft if you can't see this.
The original derp liberal line was that Trump was a puppet of Moscow - now that he has ticked Moscow off in a major way - some liberals have moved on to he is a war monger line...something that they wouldn't say about Obama who did quite a bit of bombing and arming of terrorists.
This does have an indirect effect on Americans.. if those who have chemical weapons and use them here or in our country , they know they will be dealt with in a huge response.
The only chem weapons used in the USA are deployed by police.
